Even “disciplined political organizations are not, in and of themselves, sufficient.” Transformative change requires “skilled organizers, self-discipline, an alternative ideological vision, revolutionary art and education…sustained disruptions of power, and most importantly leaders who represent the movement. Revolutions are long, difficult projects that take years to make, slowly and often imperceptibly eating away at the foundations of power.”
